So we went again ! :D We wanted to try something different this time so we went for a shareable, an assorted platter at LKR950 which came with cheesy nachos, 3 trips of crispy chicken and the hidden treasure of 4 pieces Fajita Chicken Quesadillas ! We bought a sour cream dip and a spicy salsa dip separately at LKR 60 each and we got another sour cream dip with the platter, which we didn't know we will get. As this is our second time here, the only thing we've not tried from this platter were the Fajita Chicken Quesadillas, and I'm pretty sure you'd like it because I LOOOOVEEED IT !!! They're amazing ! So cheesy with cubes of chicken and served hot ! Eat them with the spicy salsa dip and then it's just PURRFECT ! <3 This time we tried the Strawberry Mojito again at LKR 250 which was but again a little to sweet, yet a good palette cleanser to help you savor the variety of tastes in the food platter. RIU Sri Lanka is a nice addition to the Sri Lankan hotel scene. If your journey to the hotel starts from Colombo, it will only take 2 hours to reach there. As RIU has more than 100 hotels all over the world, our expectations were high. Rather mixed feelings about this hotel. I'll start with the good bits, Fantastic location The hotel is located on the lovely Ahungalla beach. The sunset, when you are in a pool with a nice exotic cocktail in your hand, is something you should experience in your life. With a nice pool with an amazing view over to the beach with a swim-up pool bar which serves some good cocktails and few other beverages, RIU Ahungalla certainly gives you a blissful warm experience. Comfy rooms They have few different kind of suites, basically with king-size bed or two double beds, satellite TV, air conditioning, a minibar, and a balcony or terrace.
